“ This location was neat and clean. Upon entry into the establishment you order at the counter and you your food is brought to the table, The staff was friendly and appeared to know the menu well. The spinach pie was delicious and served at the perfect temperature. The souvlaki club was very large and tasted delicious, It was big enough to split between two people. The French fries served with the club were served hot and delicious with paprika and white cheese. We will be back. ”
“ I dont know what a souvlaki is but this place does and its also a bar. Might be the 1pm beer speaking but this was a very satisfying meal and cheap for 2024. “ SVL is a great Greek spot in Astoria and i am glad they have a second location! Food: I ordered the chicken yeero with everything and tzatziki. They were incredible, I especially loved the pita! The meat was well cooked. I didn't like the hand cut fries though, and there were a ton within the sandwich. The halloumi fries were absolutely delicious- definitely pricy but so worth it. The spinach pie was one of the best cooked things- you can tell how fresh it is! I also loved the presentation of the food. The yeeros came in shovels which were so cute. Ambience: there is indoor seating in this location and it was nice. The high ceilings make the space feel very spacious. It's a fast causal spot but the service is definitely better than most fast casual spots. Service: everyone was so incredible that works here! They were kind and delivered us all our food which was really nice Price: very reasonably priced! ”

“ Was super hangry post gym & decided to give this 2nd location a try & I'm happy I did! The place is a lot bigger than the other location! It was super clean & the girls working inside were super friendly! I ordered a chicken gyro!! It was HUGE. The amount of chicken & fries that were packed inside .. YUM! I got tzatziki on the side & it was really fresh & thick (really good for topping off the gyro). The meat was also really good! The prices are a little higher than your average souvlaki / gyro place but I personally think it's worth it! ”
“ One of my go to places for gyro in Astoria is SVL Souvlaki Bar so I was very happy to hear that they recenlty opened a second location on 34 Avenue and Steinway St. This fast casual restaurant is conveniently located near the Steinway St stop on the R/M train. The reastaurant feels spacious with plenty of high top tables and bar seating along one wall. You order from the counter and they bring the food to you. I ordered a small Horiatiki (Greek salad) and an order of "Shots" which consisted of 4 mini pitas. The four pitas were chicken yeero, pork yeero, beek kebab, and loukaniko (Greek sausage). This was a lot of food for one person; I don't know what I was thinking except that I was hungry, lol. The mini pitas were more like regular size pitas. The "Shots" could easily feed two or three people. And the food was freaking good. The meats were well seasoned and juicy. I really had no complaints. Also, the staff that was there today was so very nice. I believe it was the owner who took my order and personally delivered the food to my table. As for prices, they are on the higher end but I don't mind this too much as the portions are large and the food is tasty. I'll gladly come back often. ”
